Astara Germany bids farewell to Ute Margetts after 14 years of dedicated service
Cologne/Kontich, 28 November 2024 - Astara Germany announced today that Ute Margetts, Head of Marketing & PR and a respected and long-standing member of the company, has decided to leave the organisation after 14 years of dedicated service. Margetts will start a new chapter in her professional career in the near future.
"Ute has been an integral part of the Astara team in Germany for over a decade and her contribution to the success of the MAXUS, Microlino and KGM (formerly known as SsangYong) brands has been invaluable," says Ulrich Mehling, Managing Director of Astara Mobility Deutschland GmbH. "We are grateful for her unwavering commitment and drive that she brought to her work every day. Although we regret that she is leaving us, we wish Ute all the best for her future endeavours."
During her tenure at Astara Germany, Margetts played a key role in shaping the company's marketing and communications strategy, increasing brand awareness and maintaining close relationships with key stakeholders and the German media.
"Her industry knowledge combined with her communication skills have contributed significantly to the growth and development of the MAXUS, Microlino and KGM brands on the German market," adds Patrick Reimers, Country Director of Astara Germany.
"It has been an honour to be part of the Astara team in Germany over the last few years," says Ute Margetts. "I am grateful for the opportunities to contribute to the success of the company and to work with talented and dedicated colleagues who - although I am looking forward to starting a new chapter - I will miss very much."
In the interim, Anne Potemans, Head of PR and Communications at Astara Western Europe, will temporarily take over Margetts' previous PR responsibilities. Potemans will work closely with the Astara Germany team to ensure a smooth transition and an ongoing relationship with the German media.
